Sanford Health will [investigate](https://www.keloland.com/news/healthbeat/coronavirus/south-dakota-first-state-for-covid-19-clinical-trial-treatment-and-prevention/) the drug hydroxychloroquine for the treatment and prevention of COVID-19. The trial will take place in South Dakota and include 2,000 outpatient individuals exposed to COVID-19, including high-risk patients and frontline healthcare workers.
