Researchers are stepping up in the fight against COVID-19, experimenting with a range of unconventional therapies to help curb the virus. Among those therapies are the over-the-counter sleep aid, melatonin, in combination with drugs used for chemotherapy drug and a drug to prevent organ transplant rejection, as well as emodin, which is a chemical found in plants such as rhubarb.
