Yourway Regulatory Alert: NAFTA expires on July 1st 2020

We want to remind you that NAFTA remains in place only until June 30, 2020. The United States, Mexico, Canada agreement (USMCA) goes into effect on July 1, 2020. There will be no grace period, therefore immediate compliance to the new rules is required. Shipments arriving in the US, Mexico, or Canada on July 1 must follow USMCA rules.

How does that impact you?
Under USMCA, shipments between The United States, Canada and Mexico may require new data elements. Learn about the new requirements to make sure your shipments clear customs, receive correct duty treatment, and have the certification documents before USMCA goes into effect on July 1.

Where is the information available?
Yourway is ready to comply with the new requirements to ensure timely shipment deliveries under the new rules. Detailed information about the new agreement rules, and requirements pertaining to Certification of Origin and new de minimis shipment value levels can be found in the Office of the United Stated Trade Representative by clicking here.
