Rare Disease Clinical Trials Go Uncompleted and Unpublished

A new study published in PLOS Medicine investigating 659 clinical trials for rare diseases found that over half of the trials either were discontinued or the results went unpublished four years after completion. For both the incomplete and the unpublished studies, the primary reason was difficulties enrolling sufficient numbers of patients. Yourway is constantly exploring ways to facilitate trials for rare diseases, including direct-to-patient trials services and other new trials models.
