The first ten patients have been enrolled in a clinical trial for a COVID-19 vaccine, sponsored by Janssen Pharmaceuticals Inc. As hospitalizations increase, trial participants are encouraged to sign up, though half will receive a nonmedicated placebo at the Minneapolis trial site.
