Moderna has released clinical trial results that indicate its vaccine is 94.5% effective in preventing the coronavirus. A total of 30,000 volunteers were recruited for the study – half received two doses of the vaccine 28 days apart while the other 50% received a placebo. Of those, 95 participants contracted COVID-19, though only 5 were from the group that received the vaccine.
